When you see God at work....

I love it when I see God at work! I have really been feeling the tug of the Holy Spirit to refocus some of my energy. More of HIM, less of me! One thing I have done a lot of is write down dreams and goals. I have always posted little notes around the house.... until recently. Today I decided that I NEED to get back to that.... keep in front of me what God is saying to me, what I need to focus on. I printed off my life mission statement (that I wrote back in January of 2007) to post on the fridge. Then tonight I hopped over to one of my favorite blogs and guess what her post was about..... writing down our goals, dreams, areas to grow!!!! She challenged us to do this! God is speaking to me! So back to the computer I went and typed up some more things to post around the house.... I want to keep the vision God has for me front and center.

Posting scripture verses around the house is a powerful way to keep our thoughts focused on what GOD has to say. The world wants us to focus on our lack... God is all about abundance! Abundance of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness and self-control. God is a God of GRACE!!! He forgives me of my short comings!!! God is my HEALER!!! Keeping these verses front and center is my weapon! The armor of God only has one weapon: The sword of the Spirit, God's WORD!! I can fight and WIN any battle I face with God's word!!!!

Join in on this challenge and see what happens! One of my favorite quotes is "If you don't aim at a target you will hit it every time" I want to HIT the target God has for my life!!!!!

Have a BLESSED day, BE a BLESSING!

Thanks for the Great Post today!!! I too put scripture where I can see it... usually the refrigerator since I spend alot of time in and around the kitchen... as Beth Moore says they are the treasures that I find each day in my quiet times with Him.

Right where I am in learning Galatians 5:22-23...the fruit of the Spirit. Abiding in Him brings all of this Abundance and reviewing where we have walked together reminds us of his provision.

Thanks for the honesty and encouraging words today.

Heather, this is a great post for Living Well! Thanks for joining in this week! It is truly marvelous how God can use bloggy buddies (or imaginary friends, as my husband likes say!) to encourage and enrich each other.

I love that phrase, "the world wants us to focus on our lack... God is all about abundance." SO TRUE! I've slipped up in my thinking so many times in this area; thanks for the reminder to focus on His blessings and provision.

And if you're ever willing to share your life mission statement, I'd love to read it. I think that's an awesome idea, too.
