SSHHH the butchering date has been set! I should have called earlier... we are now going to have to put miss Pork Chop on a diet! She is HUGE! They are going to try to work her in, but if they can't she will go in on September the 9th. This is our first time raising our own pork... I now know to just call WAY ahead of time to schedule the date! We are hoping to butcher the other two ourselves. We butcher our deer... we just have to wait till the cooler fall weather... no hanging meat in this HEAT!
