Here is a good recipe that we enjoyed today!
Chicken and Wild Rice Soup |
Crock Pot or Stove Top |
Ingredients: 1 lb boneless skinless chicken, cut into bite size pieces 3 cans chicken broth or 4 ½ cups water and chicken bouillon 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables ¾ cup wild rice ½- 1 tsp onion powder ½ tsp garlic powder ½ tsp ground sage Salt and pepper to taste Optional Ingredients: 1-2 cups fresh sliced mushrooms, ¾ cup sliced celery, ½ cup baby carrots cut into coin size pieces |
Crock Pot Directions: 1) Combine all ingredients into crock pot. Cover and cook on LOW 6-9 hours or on HIGH 4-6 hours. Stove Top Directions: 1) Combine all ingredients in large soup pan. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to LOW and simmer 20-30 minutes. |
Side suggestions: Dinner rolls, salad |
