1934 Hershey's Cookbook

Thrift store score!

I'm guessing we will be enjoying some CHOCOLATE in the near future!!!!! This book is a 1971 re-print of the 1934 cookbook. The pictures are still the original.... they just edited some of the recipes to 'modernize' them. I love vintage cookbooks... fun find!

Very cool!! I love those old pictures! What I'm not quite so fond of in may of those old cookbooks is instructions like "bake in moderate oven till done." I need specifics, people!!!!

I have that book! My SIL found it at a thrift store and gifted it to me. :D Love the photos in it.

Chocolate is always good...and anything with "hershey" in the title must be extra good. Let me know how the "modernized" recipe works out.

I love old cookbooks. I found one at a yard sale that was turn of the century. It told you how to make a hot box, cook wild game (not just deer) it was great!
