I haven't actually did "pay jobs"...I agree totally. I haven't actually did "pay jobs" yet. But my kids use birthday and Christmas money towards the extra things they want. This also makes them think twice about spending their money on candy or some cheap toy that will break as soon as you get it home. I will have to think of some "pay jobs".
