  2. (sorry, I noticed a grammatical error that I just couldn't leave alone!)

It's been really interesting watching this whole thing unfold south of us. And can I just say, from my standpoint, having grown up with public healthcare....

    KEEP FIGHTING!!!!!

There are some benefits, yes, but all those who accepted the cost of private health insurance and willingly paid their premiums each year will notice a definite change for the worse.

You know what public healthcare means to me? Excessive wait times for specialist appointments, essential diagnostic services, and scheduled surgeries. You know, just the little things that can make the difference between life and death!

There's a reason so many Canadians head south for stuff like MRI's and specialist consultations ~ because if they pay for it themselves and the transportation isn't a problem, they can get an appointment within days; if they stay here and wait for their scheduled appointment, they'll likely be waiting for 3 months.
