I have to make a confession... I am a WEARY mom! My energy level isn't so great right now, my emotional stamina is wavering..... The ugly comparison trap has been trying to get me all tangled up. YUCK! I ran across a great encouraging post from Steady Mom. Anyone else have times of weariness?? For this too shall pass.... Today would be GREAT!
Have a BLESSED day, BE a BLESSING!

Practice gratitude! That's my only advice ~ because in my experience, that's the only thing that brings me out of those phases. And, of course, the prayers, support, and encouragement of friends far and near!! You're right, it'll pass, but that doesn't make it easier to deal with. Focus on the simple things that bring joy to your life and practice thankfulness, and know that despite these times, you're still an encouragement and inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI've been feeling that way a lot lately. But, I'm sure we'll feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI excel at the comparison trap... Its probably good that I didn't read blogs before the first one was born, or I would have just given up!
ReplyDeleteI believe you are a fantastic mother and more importantly a very godly woman!

Yes, this too shall pass. It is especially important to find some time for just yourself. No, it's not selfish. It makes us better moms/wives/lovers. I try to get up earlier than the rest of the family, and get some time in the Word. Couldn't do that when the kids were much younger, but it gets me through the day now! And, so important not to compare yourself to others! We each have different giftings, different strengths, different weaknesses. What is YOUR strength, is very likely someone else's weakness.
ReplyDeleteBe blessed.
